Oops! What kind of blogger am I? My second day of blogging, and I almost forgot! Note to self, set up a certain time of day to write blog. Evening sounds good, but always unpredictable. The good news is that I didn't forget to exercise. I had an awesome workout this afternoon. I am getting to the point that I set up my day around my workouts. Tonight there is a threat of a snowday tomorrow. But without thought, I have packed my bag for tomorrow that includes my swimwear, my clothes for school and then my clothes for the gym. Focused. That is what I am. I am like the postman. Come wind, or rain, or ...how does it go?
Anyway, I am ready for tomorrow. I realized that I started my training at 100 days. Note to self: Celebrate when I get to 50 days.
Bike: 60 minutes
Run: 1 mile

55 Days and counting...
A friend of mine suggested, well strongly suggested, that I start a blog about my experience of my first triathlon. Well, here it goes.
It was the same time as last year. Christmas was just over, and I was feeling bummed that I hadn't taken off to any exotic lands for my teaching winter break. I did have a whopping 16 days. Unfortunately, I did not have the funds to back up a trip. Instead, I worked hard in...wait, I am off track already. Let me just finish. I worked in retail at Banana Republic for the week and made some money to store away for my summer adventures.
So going back to the eventful afternoon, I was looking through my Women's Health magazine which had a full page ad for the Nautica South Beach Triathlon in Miami. And, it wasn't just Miami, it was South Beach! Now think about it. Sitting in New York, on a cold, grey day, and you see this picture of white sands, blue skies and healthy bodies. I wanted it. I was ready!
